You will need approval if you are altering the external envelope, changing the building's structure, or the property is heritage listed or in a conservation area. Strata apartments need owners corporation approval regardless. We tell you which category you're in at quote stage.
Waterproofing is carried out by a licensed waterproofer to AS 3740 and you receive a certificate of compliance plus photographic evidence of the membrane before tiling. It's covered by our workmanship warranty. We never allow a tiler to 'roll a bit of membrane on' as part of the tiling day.
No — the room is stripped to the frame. If your home has a second bathroom or powder room we keep it live throughout. Where the renovated room is the only bathroom, we can stage the works or arrange a temporary toilet so the household isn't displaced.
