Small Bathroom Renovations in Sydney, Designed to Feel Twice the Size

A 4m² bathroom is harder to get right than a 12m² one. There's no spare space to absorb a mistake, and every fixture takes room off the next one. Whether it's a Seven Hills brick home or an Epping unit, the question is the same: can a small bathroom feel bigger without the budget running away?

We start with the layout, not the tiles. Measure the room, place the fixtures against the real waste points, then pick finishes. Do it in that order and the room feels planned instead of crammed, and the quote matches what turns up.

Small bathroom renovation with a wall-hung fluted vanity, walk-in shower and brass tapware

3–4 weeks on site

Most bathrooms finished in three to four weeks, not months

Certified waterproofing

AS 3740 compliant, so leaks don't come back

Fixed quote

Itemised price before work starts, no surprise extras

Space-smart design

Six ways to buy back floor space

Not styling tricks — design-stage decisions that change how big the finished room feels and how easily it's used.

Step-free shower

A linear drain and no hob takes away the ledge that cuts a small room in half. Much easier to clean, too.

Wall-hung vanity

Shows another 400 to 500mm of floor. In a room under 5m² it's the biggest change you can make.

Hidden cistern, wall-hung pan

Gains you about 200mm back into the room, and 200mm matters in here.

Cavity slider door

Gets back the door swing, roughly 0.8m² in a standard doorway.

Storage in the wall

Shaving cabinet in the cavity, shower niche between the studs. Storage that doesn't stick out.

Full-width mirror

Run the mirror the full width of the vanity and up high. The room instantly reads twice the size.

How it works

What happens once you say yes?

Three stages and three to four weeks on site. You'll know the price before we start, how long the bathroom is out of use, and who is turning up each morning.

Stage 1

Measure, design and written quote

We measure the room, check the drainage and what's behind the walls, then give you a scaled layout with every fixture listed and a written price that holds once it's signed.

Stage 2

Strip-out, rough-in and waterproofing

Back to frame, licensed plumbing and electrical rough-in, then waterproofing to AS 3740 photographed at every coat. Same crew, same start time, swept down before we leave each day.

Stage 3

Tiling, fit-off and handover

Tiling, glass measured off the finished walls, tapware and joinery installed. Then we walk the room with you, fix anything you pick up, and hand over the certificates and a workmanship warranty.
